Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-14

1. What this service does

crowdin-stats generates embeddable SVG images for a registered Crowdin project — a translation progress table, an overall progress card or circle, and a contributor grid — for use in READMEs or other Markdown documents. It reads data from the Crowdin API using a token you provide and re-renders it as an image on request.

2. No account, no warranty of continuity

There is no user account or login. Access to your embed configuration is controlled entirely by the unguessable public_id in your embed URLs and by your Crowdin token itself. Because there is no account recovery mechanism, losing your embed URLs means re-running setup.

This service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to availability, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. It is operated on a best-effort basis by an independent maintainer, not a company with an SLA.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Provide a Crowdin Personal Access Token scoped, as instructed during setup, to Granular Access, a single project, and the minimal set of scopes the setup guide lists. Nothing on our side enforces this scope — a broader token widens the blast radius of any compromise.
  • Do not use this service to store or process tokens you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not attempt to abuse, flood, or circumvent the rate limits described in the project's source.

4. Data handling

What we store, how your token is encrypted, and the honest limits of that protection are described in full in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference.

5. Revocation and termination

You may stop this service's access to your Crowdin project at any time by deleting the Personal Access Token in your Crowdin account — see the FAQ for how to also request deletion of your database row.

We reserve the right to revoke or delete any registered project's data at our discretion, including for suspected abuse, without prior notice.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this service is not liable for any damages arising from its use, misuse, unavailability, or from a compromise of the underlying Crowdin token — including a token pasted with broader scope than instructed.

7. Changes

These Terms may change as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, noted in the project's repository.
